With gods grace, together we can do amazing things…

Amazing, by November 2010 it will have been an year since we started Khalsa Care Foundation.  From our humble begins, with the purchase of a property, through the renovations and the purchase of the second adjacent property; we have come a long way to make the vision of Khalsa Care Foundation a reality.  With gods blessings, many people have supported us during the course of the year.  At this point, we have completed some of the major renovations on the premises.  In addition, we are constantly working with sangat, city and government officials to make others aware of Sikhs and to improve our image, as part of the Los Angeles community.  Here are some of the highlights, at KCF, from the past year (not in any specific order):

  • Thanksgiving Lunch, at Jordon Mission
  • Christmas-gifts and necessities hand-out, at Jordon Mission
  • Sewa at LA Marathon
  • Singh-sensations – Basketball Camp
  • Vishkhi Mela
  • Nagar Kirtan & Float
  • S. Ujjaldidar Singh – Sikh Children Day
  • Camp Gian
  • The Maharajah & The Kohinoor Play
  • Blood drive
  • Mothers Day Celebration
  • Workshops by Sikh Research Institute
  • School Picnic & Fathers Day Celebration
  • Workshops by Raja Academy
  • Workshops by Bhai Kultar Singh Ji

In addition, we have been blessed with kirtan from raagi’s like Bhai Kultar Singh, Prof Surinder Singh, Sanat Anoop Singh and events like Malhar Kirtan Darbar and Basant Kirtan Darbar, to name a few.

Currently, KCF serves 500-800 people, on a weekly bases, at the gurdwara.  Of these people, approximately, 350+ kids and adults attend the classes offered by Sikh School of LA, at KCF. Needless to say, we have had a very active and fun filled year.  Pray to Wahe Guru to bless us; so we continue to build upon the success of this past year.  All of these activities, incur an financial need.

We need your help!  We are looking for donations to help out with upcoming expenses, as related to either the school, gurdwara or the ongoing maintenance and renovations. We have set a goal to raise $100,000 by end of December.  We truly need your support!  No amount is too small!  For all financial inquires, contact S. Gurdip Singh Malik (213-923-4975) or S. Sukhi Singh Sandhu (805-402-5050).
